|Letter from Fr Mark McManus 17th September|
|Dear Parishioners of St Joseph's & St Charles,|
|This week our Masses will be:
Saturday, 18 September, at 5:00pm
Sunday, 19 September, at 8:45am & 10:00am
Monday, 20 September, at 10:00am
Tuesday, 21 September, at 10:00am
Friday, 24 September, at 10:00am
Holy Communion & Visiting the SickThankfully, it looks like this important aspect of the life of the Church can safely resume as long as sensible precautions are undertaken. If you or someone you know would like a visit please speak with Fr M or our deacon, Simon. Likewise, if you are an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and would like to resume (or commence) visiting someone regularly and taking them the Blessed Sacrament then please speak with one of the clergy.
Please note that you can now e-mail our deacon, Simon, directly at: email@example.com
First Holy CommunionThe First Holy Communion Mass for the Class of 2020-21 will take place on Saturday, 2 October, at 10.00am, here at St Joseph's Church. I kindly remind parents that Louise George is undertaking the preparation and that your support and active encouragement are vital in helping your child's faith to grow. Christian parents are called to teach our children all they need to know about how to live on earth and come to life in heaven.
To avoid confusion, registration for this year's Year 3 Class & above (2021-22) will take place from the end of October; likewise, for the Sacrament of Confirmation also.
Church Cleaning & ReadersIf anyone would like to help with the cleaning of our church or would like to assist in the celebration of Mass by reading then please do not hesitate to let me know. Thank you.
Altar serversHopefully, we will soon be able to have people assisting at the altar again. If you would like to resume serving at holy Mass or would like to begin doing so (and you have celebrated your First Holy Communion) then please speak with Fr M or our deacon, Simon
Face coverings are strongly encouraged.
You MUST NOT come to church if: You are unwell or somebody in your household has coronavirus symptoms, for example a cough or high temperature. Please follow the directions of the stewards.
Finally, this week's newsletter is here.
