Bishops' Conference Day for Life
There is a retiring collection in support of this and a box is provided for any donation that you wish to make to the left of the usual offerings box. Thank you.

A foodbank collection update & redirection
Unfortunately, the Yorkshire Refugee Foodbank has lost the use of their depot. So, while things get organised please God, our collection this weekend, 19 & 20 June, will go instead to the Handsworth Foodbank to continue to help people locally. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Succour
Our annual Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Succour concludes this Tuesday, 22 June, with St Joseph, Patron of a Happy Death, at 7.00pm in St Joseph's church. All welcome
N.B. Here is the slightly adapted novena for you to print out and bring with you if possible, please. Thank you.

First Holy Communion Mass 10 July
The recent extension of the current social restrictions to 19 July means that this Mass will take place under the current regulations. Alas, this means that the Mass will be a 'restricted' event and not open to other parishioners as would be usual. Other than the designated stewards and catechists at the Mass, the church will be reserved for the sole use of the children, their families and their limited number of guests. Further details will be sent to them.

Peter Dolan RIP
We received sad news this week of the recent death of Peter Dolan RIP, aged ninety-one years. Peter was a former Headteacher of St Joseph's School from 1968-1988 and he will doubtless be remembered by many. His funeral will be next Thursday, 24 June, at Blessed Trinity Church, Wickersley. May he rest in peace

Job Vacancy
An opportunity has arisen to work as a qualified counsellor across the whole of the Diocese. With increased demands on our counselling service we need to expand our team of counsellors who work in our Diocesan schools and communities.
For further information, please contact Bernie Ware 07980 406198 or abware@hallam-diocese.com

Attending church
FACE COVERINGS ARE REQUIRED IN CHURCH
UNLESS YOU HAVE AN EXEMPTION THIS IS NOW LAW

You MUST NOT come to church if: You are unwell or somebody in your household has coronavirus symptoms, for example a cough or high temperature. Please follow the directions of the stewards.

Church Cleaning & Stewarding
The continuing work of our voluntary church cleaners and stewards remains the bedrock of our ability to open and use our church. Without them the church would be closed and we are immensely thankful for all that they do. If you have returned to church, have seen how things are done, and now feel ready and able to volunteer then please contact me. More hands help spread the load. Thank you.

Finally, this week's newsletter is here.

Our Lady of Walsingham, pray for us.
St Joseph, pray for us.
St Charles Borromeo, pray for us.

With my prayers,
Rev. Mark McManus
Parish Priest
