Face coverings are strongly encouraged.

Piety Stall 2022 Missals & Christmas Cards
The Piety Stall will start taking orders for the CTS Sunday Missal 2022, this retails at £7.95 and we kindly ask that it be paid for at the time of ordering. Christmas cards will be on sale from next weekend 6 & 7 November. The opening times will be after the Saturday vigil Mass and from 9:15am to 9:55am on Sundays, i.e. between the morning Masses.

St Joseph's Cemetery Maintenance Fund
We kindly ask in November, the month of the Holy Souls, for those with family and friends in St Joseph's cemetery, to make a contribution towards the cost of the upkeep. Thank you for your continuing support and particular thanks to those dedicated parishioners who give of their time and labour to care for our hallowed ground.

November Memorial Dead List 2021 - 2022
The celebration of a holy Mass is the simplest yet also the greatest means by which the Church on earth provides care and assistance for the dead - though we can also assist them in their 'journey' through the purification of purgatory by means of our prayers, offered sufferings and penances, especially when they have indulgences attached to them. Beginning in November we offer Masses for the Parish November Memorial Dead List throughout the year. If you would like to enrol a loved one on the list so that they will be included in these Masses please, write the names of your deceased family, friends and benefactors, and put it, together with your offering, into the offerings box in the church. Alternatively, you can hand it to me or e-mail me the details also.

Registration for First Holy Communion 2022
Applications for children (who started in Year 3 or above at school this September) to celebrate their First Holy Communion in 2022 are now being invited. Please contact Fr M by e-mail at ssjosephandcharles@gmail.com for the registration form. All applications should be received and completed by Sunday, 28 November. The First Holy Communion Mass at St Joseph's will be on Sunday, 8 May, 2022 at 10.00am.
I kindly remind parents that your support and active encouragement are vital in helping your child's faith to grow, most especially in regularly attending Sunday Mass. Christian parents are called to teach our children all they need to know about how to live on earth so that they may come to eternal life in heaven.
Registration for the Sacrament of Confirmation 2022
Bishop Heskett will celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation at St Joseph's on Saturday 11 June, 2022, at 5.00pm. If you are in Year 8 or above and would like to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation then please contact Fr M by e-mail at ssjosephandcharles@gmail.com for the registration form. All applications should be received and completed by Sunday, 28 November. The Mass of Confirmation will be at St Joseph's on Saturday, 11 June, 2022 at 5.00pm.

Parking on Sundays
Please be aware that parking outside St Joseph's School (in the zig-zag zone) is not permitted at any time and you could face a penalty if you park there. Apparently, the school has been informed that there have been some complaints from neighbours regarding parking there on Sunday mornings.

Finally, this week's newsletter is here.

Our Lady of Walsingham, pray for us.
St Joseph, pray for us.
St Charles Borromeo, pray for us.

With my prayers,
Rev. Mark McManus
