Letter from Fr Mark McManus 8th December

Dear Parishioners of St Joseph's & St Charles,

Please note that the morning Mass this Tuesday, 12 December, is at 9.30am.

Advent Exposition & Confessions
On the Saturdays of Advent, starting this 9 December, there will be Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament & Confessions from 10.00am to 11.00am, with Benediction at 10.50am. There will continue to be Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament before the 10.00am Mass on Fridays also.
There will also be Confessions available from 3.15pm until they are finished on Monday & Tuesday, 18 & 19 December. Hopefully, this will be of help to parents and children at school.

St Vincent's Furniture Project
The Furniture Store has been helping locally in Sheffield for 36 years. They urgently need beds, furniture and household equipment such as crockery, and bedding that is clean and in reasonable condition. They aim to provide decent living conditions for people who are often in desperate need and collect and deliver the donated items for free and we change lives.
Apart from donating items, might you be able to help by volunteering? This can range from helping with administrative tasks in the office, to working in the depot, or collecting and delivering household items on one of the vans. Many volunteers give one day a week which helps enormously. Can you help? You can contact them on 0114 270 3990 and svp.org.uk/sheffield-furniture-store.

Finally, here is this week's newsletter, and this week's intentions.
