Dear Parishioners of St Joseph's & St Charles,

Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick The feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, 11 February, is the World Day of Prayer for the Sick. The Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick will be offered to those who have need at the conclusion of all our Masses this weekend. Ash Wednesday, 14 February This is a Day of Fasting & Abstinence: everyone aged 14 years and older must abstain from consuming meat, while everyone aged from 18 to 59 must fast, unless exempt (usually for a medical reason). Regardless of age, everyone is encouraged to observe the spirit of the day and to assume some form of penance; Masses are at 10.00am & 7.00pm. Here is this week's newsletter and intentions.
