Dear Parishioners of St Joseph's & St Charles,

Monsignor David Kirkwood, Former Parish Priest of St Joseph's I have been in London today and one of the things I did was to visit Monsignor in his new home with The Little Sisters at Stoke Newington. He is settling in and wishes to offer his thanks to those people who have kindly written to him on the occasion of his recent and unexpected move. Please remember him in your prayers. Facing the Future We remember that our bishop asks that we prayerfully consider the future of the Diocese of Hallam and how we best serve the Mission of the Church entrusted to us with the resources that we have available. The questions we are first asked to ponder as individuals or families are: What are the good signs for your parish that you can see? What are the concerns you have for your parish? Where do you see your parish as we enter the year of Jubilee (2025)? What actions do you think you/your parish need to take? Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes, Friday, 28 June - 4 July The diocese asks, 'Have you considered travelling on the Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes in this Year of Prayer? All are very welcome to join Bishop Ralph, clergy and parishioners from around the diocese on the 2024 Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes. The organisers ask anyone who is interested to send their Booking Forms in as soon as possible so that plans can be made. Any outstanding information can follow later.
