Letter from Fr Mark McManus 3rd May

Dear Parishioners of St Joseph's & St Charles,

Holyday of Obligation
This Thursday, 9 May, the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord, is a Holyday of Obligation. Masses are at 10.00am, with our school, and 7.00pm.

Facing the Future
Our bishop has asked us to prayerfully consider the future of our diocese and how we might best serve the Mission of the Church entrusted to us with the resources that we have available. Information is available to all in the church or on our parish website. The questions we are asked to ponder as individuals, families and as a parish community are:
  1. What are the good signs for your parish that you can see?
  2. What are the concerns you have for your parish?
  3. Where do you see your parish as we enter the year of Jubilee (2025)?
  4. What actions do you think you/your parish need to take?
Please feel free to call in at the presbytery for a chat about your thoughts at one of the following days and times:

Thursday 9th May 3:00pm to 5:00pm
Friday 10th May 2:00pm to 4:00pm
Monday 13th May 5:00pm to 7:00pm
Thursday 16th May 10:30am to 12:00pm

Alternatively, you can speak with Deacon Simon, while a quick word with either of us is perfectly acceptable or you can write or email should you prefer.
