Letter from Fr Mark McManus 18th April

Dear Parishioners of St Joseph's & St Charles,

I kindly remind you that Good Friday is a day of Fasting & Abstinence, and that everyone aged 14 years and older should abstain from consuming meat, while everyone aged from 18 to 59 should fast, unless exempt (usually for a medical reason). Regardless of age, everyone is encouraged to observe the spirit of the day and to assume some form of penance. Today there is a retiring collection to support the upkeep of The Holy Places in the Holy Land. Thank You Last weekend's retiring collection towards the cost of the Easter Flowers was £389.01 We also received a generous donation from our local Funeral Director, J F Knight.
