Dear Parishioners of St Joseph's & St Charles,

Please note that we are having difficulties with the internet connection at the presbytery and there may be some delay in replying to emails, etc. The Feast of the Presentation of the Lord this Weekend On Sunday, 2 February, the Church celebrates the feast of the Presentation of the Lord which occurs forty days after the birth of Jesus. It is also known as Candlemas Day, since the blessing of candles forms a part of the day's liturgy. If you use candles at home as part of your personal prayer or for a shrine, etc., then you are most welcome to bring them along to the Saturday vigil Mass or on the Sunday morning for them to be blessed. N.B. As a feast of the Lord, the readings and prayers are proper to the feast and are not those of the Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time. Here is this weekend's newsletter, and intercessions.
