The Season of Advent
Our UCM Advent appeal for Baby Basics Sheffield (baby-basics.org.uk) begins this weekend. Items needed to fill our Moses Basket in the weeks before Christmas are listed in the newsletter.The UCM also host a 'knit and natter' on Fridays after 10am Mass for anyone who wants to join with others for a chat and a cuppa whilst knitting baby blankets and hats for the appeal. Thank you for your support. A Reverse Advent Calendar for St Wilfrid's
Give rather than receive each day in Advent. All you need to do is: 1. Get a bag 2. Add an item into the bag from the list below each day 3. Deliver the bag to St Wilfrid's or leave them at the back of the church (Any volunteers please to help deliver them?). Items are used throughout the year. Again, items needed are listed in the newsletter.
St Joseph's Cemetery Maintenance Fund
We kindly ask in November, the month of the Holy Souls, for those with family and friends in our cemetery, to make a contribution towards the cost of the upkeep. Particular thanks must go to those dedicated parishioners who give of their time and labour to care for our hallowed ground. We always receive a number of positive comments recognising the good work that is being done by them. Thank you for your continuing support.
